At Hoover Karate in Allentown, the values instilled in our students extend beyond the training mat. Our dedicated students embody the Warrior Ethos, embracing principles of discipline, integrity, and respect. They are not only skilled martial artists but also active contributors to the community's welfare, passionately supporting nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. In the spirit of the Peaceful Warrior, we believe in cultivating strength in skill and character, for the betterment of our community.

The Pay-It-Forward Project

Our Mission: The Pay-It-Forward Project exists to be a positive force for good in the world by raising funds and inspiring good will. The Hoover Karate Academy community (including students, instructors, friends, and family), celebrate the positive growth that martial arts has brought to their lives and desire to pay this forward to others. Kwon Ryu Fu Chi Do reminds us to fight against the realities of our world, through inner and outer strength, shared wisdom, and community. In line with our training, The Pay It Forward Project will specifically focus on benefiting causes involving the mind, body, spirit, and earth with all proceeds going directly to the organizations we support with our time and energy.

Inside Hoover Karate Academy for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's 3,000 Pushups Challenge

  • Throughout the month of May, all classes (kids and adults) are participating in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's 3,000 Pushups Challenge. Each class will work to complete this challenge by the end of the month, and we’re looking to achieve more than 10,000 pushups in total! HKA instructors are tracking the progress of each class to provide a grand total at the end of May.

  • Additionally, we will be collecting monetary donations. If you wish to support this organization, please drop off a check payable to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital any time during May. (Checks only please, no cash)

  • Thank you for participating in the 3,000 Pushups Challenge!

All monies go directly to the causes we support, not HKA. All checks must be made payable directly to the organization.
