Ep 180 - Pain is Inevitable, Suffering is Optional

The concept of “to whom much is given, much will be required” is that we are responsible for what we have been blessed with — talent, wealth, knowledge, time, etc. We should use these blessings to be a good soul and help others. Tim and Steve are joined by Phillip Causey, who until recently was a complete stranger to them. In Phillip's journey, he has found pain to be inevitable — but misery and suffering to be optional. In this episode, you'll hear the following:

  • We are not here alone

  • There's got to be something more than just me

  • Gratitude without action is just a pleasant moment

  • Pain will teach me a lesson that pride will not let me learn

  • My mind's like a bad neighborhood, and I'd rather not walk through it alone

  • Is man's passion for others out of love? Or just to convince him of his own ideas?

"One of the most beautiful things in this world is free: a smile" — Phillip Causey
