Ep 180 - Pain is Inevitable, Suffering is Optional
The concept of “to whom much is given, much will be required” is that we are responsible for what we have been blessed with — talent, wealth, knowledge, time, etc. We should use these blessings to be a good soul and help others. Tim and Steve are joined by Phillip Causey, who until recently was a complete stranger to them. In Phillip's journey, he has found pain to be inevitable — but misery and suffering to be optional. In this episode, you'll hear the following:
We are not here alone
There's got to be something more than just me
Gratitude without action is just a pleasant moment
Pain will teach me a lesson that pride will not let me learn
My mind's like a bad neighborhood, and I'd rather not walk through it alone
Is man's passion for others out of love? Or just to convince him of his own ideas?
"One of the most beautiful things in this world is free: a smile" — Phillip Causey
