Dear HKA Students & Parents,
This message is a reminder that Hoover Karate Academy’s “Attack Life, Not Others” Fundraiser is fast approaching! The deadline to register for this event is Saturday, April 7th!
Please join us as we honor the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Participants are asked to form teams of four to collectively complete a 17-part obstacle course at HKA North. The fundraiser will operate as a shotgun start with start-time options of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This fundraiser is open to anyone age 10 and older, and you DO NOT need to be an HKA member to participate!
Registration is $100 per team, and we ask that all fees be submitted by check to one of the following organizations:
- St. Jude Children’s Hospital
- Global Camps Africa
- Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education (S.C.O.P.E.)
To simplify the registration process, we ask that one check ONLY is submitted on behalf of the entire team. Please note that checks made payable to Hoover Karate Academy cannot be accepted.
Registration can be completed by visiting the following link:
All registration fee donations will be accepted the day of the event, but you must register no later than Saturday, April 7th to reserve your spot! Register now and receive a FREE t-shirt the day of the event!
I am so proud of the young HKA Members who have worked so hard to make this event a reality. Additionally, I would like to thank Sensei Steve Mittman for his generosity and support in helping to create a podcast for this event. Finally, keep an eye out for Steve’s interview with the students to be aired on Channel 69 News this week!
I look forward to seeing all of you on April 21st!
